Dear Wareham Families,

I believe that one of the best features of living and working in Wareham, is how the community embraces diversity. There are clubs, organizations, and events that celebrate cultural diversity throughout the year in our schools and our town. Wareham Public School’s International Exchange Program is a shining example of the district and community celebrating and learning from the culture of others, and sharing our culture with students from around the globe. Wareham Public Schools has been involved in international exchange programs since the 1970s and the program continues to bring new perspectives to students and families in our community each year through the relationships that are formed with our exchange students.

The following video, , gives a brief overview of the experiences of three of our international students in Wareham this year. We are currently seeking a host family for one more senior male student for the 2019/20 school year. If you are interested, or would like more information about becoming a short- or long-term host family, please contact Maureen Manning at

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend. May we give pause this Memorial Day to remember those who have served in the US armed forces and who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
