Dear Wareham Families,

At the John W. Decas School, our youngest learners begin their academic careers in the Wareham Public Schools. It is at Decas that many essential study and social skills are formed. At Decas, children learn how to be students and here, the seeds of life-long learning are sown.

A highlight of the educational environment at Decas is the commitment to movement as a teaching strategy. It is essential for young learners to be up and moving throughout their day and there is no shortage of opportunities for that at Decas. As well, the outdoor classroom is a vibrant, creative space for teachers to work with their students on hand-on activities in the fresh air.

Please enjoy the video about the activities, opportunities, and positive environment at Decas School:

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend.

Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood
