Dear Wareham Families,

Today is one of the biggest days in Wareham Public Schools. This evening, at 6:30 PM, the Wareham High School Class of 2019 will participate in their commencement ceremony. For many, this marks the end of 13 years of education in the Wareham Public School district. For some who may have transferred in, this could signal the close of your first and final year. But for all who will receive their diploma on Spillane Field tonight, regardless of the time you have spent with us, this is indeed, a major milestone. In several hours, they will be graduates of Wareham High School and many will move on to college, career, or military.

For the past few weeks, our seniors have participated in a number of year-end celebrations, such as Prom, Athletic Awards, Senior Awards, and Senior Week activities such as Senior Breakfast and a cook-out, complete with food trucks and entertainment. All of these festivities have been leading up to tonight’s recognition of their hard work and dedication to academic achievement. And the school district and Wareham community applaud them for their accomplishments.

As our seniors walk across the field tonight, for the final time as WPS students, I send my heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the entire district. Congratulations Class of 2019, on a job well done, and best wishes as you move forward into the next chapter of your life.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood
