Online Databases

Thanks to our membership in SEMLS (Southeastern Massachusetts Library System) we have access to a group of databases, containing periodicals, books, pictures, maps, newspapers, business data, and so much more.

Access From Home

Access the online databases from SEMLS when you are at home. When you select a database you will be asked to supply a user ID. This is the number under the bar code on your Wareham Free Library Card (or SEAL card).

You may access The Discovering School Collection (Galenet) from home also. Ask the librarian how to log on.

Access at School

The Discovering School Collection (Galenet) is now available on the Infotrac main page.

eLibrary (Formerly Electric Library) Includes newspaper and magazine articles, a variety of reference books, maps, pictures, and TV and radio transcripts. The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal are available on the eLibrary site.
Infotrac This is actually a collection of databases covering biographies, authors, literary criticism, health, business, and articles from newspapers and periodicals, both general interest and scholarly.
NetLibrary NetLibray is a collection of ebooks, books that are read on the computer. You must register at the WHS library before you begin to use the ebooks. The collection includes fiction and non-fiction.
Newspapers Includes the The Boston Globe, The Herald, The Christian Science Monitor, The Los Angelos Times, Union-News (Springfield, Ma), Worcester Telegram & Gazette (Worcester, MA). The Cape Cod Times is available for school access but not for home access.
ProQuest The Patriot Ledger only.
Wareham Free Library and Sails Search for books and other materials available from Wareham Free Library and other libraries that share membership in SAILS, the regional library group. With your town library card you may reserve books online.
