There are over 25 different clubs at WHS! Get involved! It will make your high school experience fuller! Most clubs are open to all students. Listen for announcements or contact the main office for how to get involved!

| Art Club |
| The art club works to beautify the school by creating murals and other artistic representations throughout the school. They also work to make themselves better artists. They also travel to various art schools and other places where their artistic talents can be broadened. |
AV Club |
| The Wareham High School Audio Visual Club was formed to train students in the proper use of equipment. As part of their training, students produce a daily live televised morning announcement program, along with volunteering hundreds of hours filming, editing, and running a sound system for school related events such as school plays, concerts, awards ceremonies, and above all the graduation ceremony. Students are also given the opportunity to create videos and compete in the Massachusetts Organization of Video Editors contest against students statewide. Many Club members pursue their interest in college. |
Best Buddies |
| The Best Buddies members are dedicated students who befriend the special needs students in the high school. They go on field trips, teach, and give their time. This is a very important club where each student inspires the other. |
Chess Club |
| Members of the Chess Club not only learn team work, but they also learn competitive spirit, confidence, determination, forward planning, spatial reasoning, and chess theory and strategy among other things. The club competes during the winter in the South Coast Conference Interscholastic Chess League. |
Code Club |
| Members of the Code Club are greatly involved in community service activities such as the annual coat drive, as well as working to raise funds and awareness for those in need. The Code Club works hard and dedicates many hours of its time for the sole purpose of helping others. |
Color Guard |
| Members of the Color Guard provide additional entertainment to school functions. They perform during the halftime at football games and also compete in regional competitions. The members of this team are required to have good coordination and have the ability to work as a team. |
| DECA |
| DECA is one of the biggest clubs at WHS. Their focus is excelling in all areas of business. They compete against other towns and schools at conference to showcase their field of expertise. DECA teaches students the ins and outs of the professional work world. |
Faith Club |
| The Faith Club is an interdenominational organization formed to promote positive character within students. The weekly meetings stress having a good attitude and having tolerance of others. |
| Foreign Language Club |
The Foreign Language Club is composed of students who wish to learn more about other cultures and languages. Hosting exchange students and having after school food samplings where the food is prepared by the students are just a few of the things that this club does. Each year the club members take part in a Boston trip, to either see a French Bilingual play, or a Spanish musical featuring flamenco dancing. |
| Garden Club |
The Wareham Garden Club maintain and improve the courtyard and other areas of the school campus for all students, and staff to enjoy. Club members raise money by holding car-washes. They also hold at least two “clean up days” each year. Once a year the club members and their advisors take a trip to Boston, a walking tour which covers different areas of Boston and its gardens, as well as other cultural highlights. |
| IMAGINE(Literary Magazine) |
| The Literary Magazine is a publication which displays students' talents in writing and art. |
| Journalism |
| Journalism is a club created to teach students the ins and outs of composing and structuring a newspaper. They come together to investigate and report on issues and events of Wareham High School, pop culture, and the community. |
| JROTC |
| JROTC is a class and a club here at Wareham High School. It seeks to better its cadets through learning about their government, history, and through personal growth and dedication. |
| Marching Band |

| The Marching Band at Wareham High School performs at all Viking home football games. They also compete in different competitions and in various parades. It is a place for musicians to hone their skills and come together and work as a team towards a common goal. |
Multi-Cultural Club (MCC) |
| This year in the MCC we had some amazing shows. Our performances at both pep rallies were crazy. In MCC you can always count on us to give you school spirit through hip-hop. |
| National Honor Society |
| The Ruth Tompkin’s Chapter of the National Honor Society is a group with members who demonstrate high quality of character in and out of school. The group is based on the principles of Service, Character, Scholarship, and Leadership. These students not only complete service projects in and out of school but similarly lead their school through superior academics and citizenship. |
| National Jr. Honor Society |
| The national Junior Honor Society is a group of students who possess leadership qualities, and demonstrate the ability to participate in school activities while maintaining an 89.5 GPA. These students must also perform a minimum of three hours of community service per month during the school year. |
| Prom Committee |
| Senior prom committee works hard to make prom a memorable one. The prom committee meets regularly to organize and finalize all details to make the prom unforgettable for all seniors at Wareham High School. |
| Speech and Debate Club |
| The Speech and Debate Club is being revitalized here at Wareham High School. If you enjoy learning about the ethics and rules of a debate and want to sharpen your verbal skills then this club is for you! |
| Student Advisory Council |
| The Student Advisory Council is a three member group that works with administration, school committee, and their fellow students to help make improvements to their school. The three members work to represent Wareham at regional meetings. They endeavor to bridge the gap between students and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Within the Regional meetings, eight SAC members are nominated to serve at the state SAC level and attend meetings at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The members attend monthly regional meetings with advisory council members from other school and members of the Department of Education to help solve problems that schools are facing. |
| SADD(Students Against Destructive Decisions) |
| At Wareham High School, SADD tries to teach students about the effects of destructive decisions. From drugs and alcohol to peer pressure and smoking, SAAD tries to inform WHS about how to make good decisions for a productive, healthy future. |
| Student Council |
| Student Council members are students who are willing to work hard to better the school. They are a group of dedicated students who work with the faculty, administration, members of the school committee and students to solve conflicts to make this school an easier and safer place to be. |
| Tomorrow's Teachers Club |
| Members meet regularly in order to explore the challenges and rewards of becoming a teacher. This is an opportunity for students to explore a career. |
| Viking Theater Company |
| Maybe you don't know just where to fit in in high school, and under the lights is not an appealing place. A writer friend of mine says that "High School is four years with no place to hide." I know how true those words are. Yet, if there WAS someplace to find yourself and find some excitement and some acceptance, it is the Viking Theater Company. Just ask any current member! |
| Youth and Government |
| According to the YAG website, "Youth and Government uses the YMCA core values to teach teens in grades 9-12 how they can participate in the democratic process. Participants have opportunities to develop skills, make friends and learn how they can make a difference." |
| Yearbook(The Caper) |
| The Yearbook Staff is a team of very hard working students who work together in order to accomplish a common goal of creating the best yearbook ever. They all work diligently in order to meet their deadlines and to get the yearbook finished as quickly as possible. |
