Teacher Technology Self-Assessment Tool


Introduction


This teacher technology self-assessment tool is the collaborative effort of the Massachusetts Department of Education and the state's Educational Technology Advisory Council (ETAC). The purpose of developing this sample tool is to assist teachers to assess their strengths and weaknesses in educational technology readiness. This tool was further edited from over 200 questions to 25. the full assessments are available on the district web site at the TSAT Index.

We collapsed the six NETS standards into the following three strands for the development of this self-assessment tool.

We hope that this sample tool will help administrators make appropriate decisions regarding their own professional development needs and that it will assist them in their leadership role in their schools and districts.

General Guideline: If in doubt we think that your answers will refer to the following list (ergo Answer A is aimed at Novice User, B is aimed at Emergent...)
