Dear Parents:

I would like to tell you of a terrific, FREE summer resource that is available to kids eighteen years old and under in your neighborhood-the Summer Lunch Program. This is a federally funded (USDA) program administered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, providing children the healthy food they enjoy, during the summer.

Here in Wareham, the Summer Lunch Program is sponsored by the Wareham Public Schools. All children eighteen and under are invited to drop by any of the following sites for a FREE, delicious and nutritionally balanced meal or snack. Our program runs from June 28th to August 27th, Monday through Friday. Every child is eligible for these summer meals or snacks at no cost.

All meals must be eaten on-site. Please come, eat and enjoy the summer with us.

Sites

1. Wareham High School/Lunch 11:30-12:30pm
2. Onset Band Shell/Lunch – 12:15-1:15pm
3. Wareham YMCA/Snack – 2-3pm

MyNutrikids

Wareham Public School District's Food Service Department is excited to provide parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child's school meal account at any time. This service also provides parents the ability to view your child's account balance as well as the ability to print out a copy of your child's eating history within the past thirty days through a web site called MyNutrikids.com. By having money in each child's account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.
