EARLY DISMISSAL - FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

Friday, September 3rd will be an early release day for all students attending Wareham Schools in anticipation of inclement weather. All activities after school are cancelled. We will begin dismissing at 12:05 with both the Middle School and the Cooperative School. The High School will dismiss at 12:10. The West Wareham Academy will dismiss at 12:15. Decas, Minot Forest and Hammond Elementary Schools will dismiss at 1:00.



Due to EEE, Wareham Public Schools is implementing a 6 PM curfew on all athletic events (practices or games) at Wareham High School effective immediatley.



PowerSchool Guardian and Student access will be activated on September 3rd.



S.A.I.L. through Reading - learn more about the WPS Summer Reading Program.


Guardian and Student access to PowerSchool will not be available this summer after June 25th as we prepare for next school year.

The Wareham High School Graduation will be held outside at Spillane Field and will begin at 6:30 pm. You do not have to have a ticket to attend the outdoor graduation. However, please have tickets with you in case of a last minute move inside due to weather. Only those with tickets will be able to enter the inside ceremony.


Seniors, to order copies of the Senior Prom/Promenade, Senior Awards Night and Graduation, please e-mail Tom Tricker at ttricker@wareham.k12.ma.us All DVDs are $5.00 and the proceeds benefit the WHS AV Scholarship Fund. DVDs will be available for pick-up on June 14, 2010. All checks should be made payable to Wareham High School. Thank You

Primeira sessão de vídeo conferência na escola secundária Alfredo Cruz Silva de Santa Cruz, com a sua congenere em New Bedford, nos EUA.



Mrs. Nancy Barry, third grade teacher at the Minot Forest School, was the recipient of the Loretta Quinlan Award. The Loretta Quinlan Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Plymouth County Education Association to the member who best exemplifies the objectives of the Association. The recipient of this award is chosen from the nominees for Citations. Mrs. Barry also received a Citation Award. Citations are awarded in recognition of outstanding service to the profession, association, and the community. It is made to those who have displayed HIGH qualities of leadership, important to the improvement of education. Congratulations, Mrs. Barry!

Wareham Special Education Parent Advisory Council Meetings

Both meetings will address the same agenda in the hopes that more parents of children who have special needs or other interested parties will attend the meetings to seek support and learn the special education process.

Wareham Vikings Boys Basketball Team wins the Division 3 State Title!  Read more at Wicked Local Wareham.


The Wareham School Department has launched a sister-city project with the Cape Verdean islands of Sao Filipe and Santa Cruz in a partnership that includes the New Bedford Schools. This project attempts to teach students about the importance of a global education.



The Community Partnership Committee of WPS is searching for a symbol that represents giving respect and getting respect. The winning Logo may be printed
on T-shirts, decals, posters and on the uniforms of Wareham’s Tiger Football players and cheerleaders, JBA players, Wareham Youth Soccer players and
Youth Hockey and Little League participants. See the Superintendents Page for more information and an application.
